How important is it for a lawyer to have a good website?  What makes a good attorney website?  What should I be looking for?

A: Now, you might think that a good website does not have anything to do with being a good lawyer.  But I personally think that the lawyer who goes the extra mile to convert his website from a mere electronic business card or brochure into a legal consumer education tool is someone who is showing a dedication to public service.  And that kind of mindset can tell you a lot about a person.  The lawyer who has the goal of educating the public on what he does, or the types of cases he represents, tells me the attorney is not just in it for the money (so to speak).  It also tells me this is an attorney who has my best interests in mind, not just the fee he may earn in the case.
